Frequently asked questions
How to use it in your daily life.
We know discreteness is key so we designed the sensor to be as thin as possible. If you wear normal fitting apparel, the sensor will not be visible. If you are wearing very tight sport apparel, the sensor might be visible.
The sensor is placed below the “belt” region, just above the pubic bone, so it should not interfere when you are wearing a belt.
In general, our silicone adhesives are designed to work with body hair. However, too much body hair might impact the strength of the adhesive so we would recommend to shave off body hair when you experience problems attaching the sensor to your belly.
The vibration strength can be adapted to the level you feel comfortable with.
That depends on your condition and symptoms. You can specify in the app, at what filling status you would like to get a notification, thereby you are able to personalize the notifications to your voiding patterns.
The adhesives are designed to work for sports activities.
Yes you can. If you sleep a lot on your belly, this might feel uncomfortable over time though.
From our users we know that at first you will still use absorptive products as a safety net. Over time the usage of absorptive products might decrease over time as the sensor gets adapted to your situation and you understand your bladder and symptoms better.
The sensor is an innovative piece of hardware that costs more than $500 when purchased. In order to be able to offer the service as a rental model, we need to charge a deposit that we reimburse as soon as we receive your sensor in good shape. Think of it like a car rental.
Think of the sensor as miniature version of the ultrasound scanners you know from a hospital of gynecologists. It uses the same methodology that doctors use for a long time, it is just so small you can actually wear it on your body and carry it with you.
The sensor detects the front and back-wall of the bladder and determine the volume in between. It provides a notification when the bladder is almost full, and it is time to go to the bathroom.
Notifications will be provided via a gentle vibration of the device and/or smart notification via the app. Preferred notification settings can be adjusted in the app.
The sensor regularly scan the filling status of your bladder. This enables the app to calculate how the filling status is changing and logs the differences automatically in the app.
The sensor is designed to work for years. Each 2 years we recommend a maintainance service interval to recalibrate the sensor and clean the device.
The battery lasts for ± 1.5-2 days, the charging time is ± 1.5-2 hours.
